Description

Bridge No 31 is a structure featuring cambered wrought iron girders that support ashlar stone voussoirs, creating a flattened arch. This arch is topped with ashlar parapets that include stone sills and capping. The parapet wings curve downwards and outwards on both sides, ending in piers that have pyramidical caps. The abutments are made of rubble sandstone with ashlar quoins. Additionally, there are rubble walls, likely added later, that extend beyond both ends on the eastern side.
