Description
The outbuilding range located immediately east of Yew Tree Farm is an asymmetrical service structure built in the vernacular revival style. It is constructed of red brick and features red-tiled roofs. The building includes a tall brick chimneystack that is stepped in plan. The central two-storey section has a nearly pyramidal roof, which is adorned with pigeon cotes in gablets and topped with a metal weather cock on a wooden pinnacle.
On the ground floor to the left, there is a four-light window with small-paned metal frames set within shaped brick mullions, while to the right, an archway provides access through the building. Above a toothed brickwork band on the first floor, there is another four-light window with round heads, along with a loading door situated beneath a gabled hood. The façade also features assorted ventilation slots.
At the rear, the central section has two two-light square-headed windows under Gothic arches, positioned between brick buttresses on the ground floor. The first floor contains three two-light recessed windows. To the west at the front, the roof extends down over a single-storey coal house and storage area, with two pigsties located at the extreme west.
To the east, there is a stable section featuring two doorways, with the eastern doorway having stone settings for door ironwork. This section also includes a four-light window with shaped brick mullions and ventilation slots for the storage area above. The gable end facing east has a ground-floor two-light window with small-paned, metal-framed glass. The loft area features a circular pitching eye flanked by small rectangular windows, and there is decorative brick banding present. The apex of the gable showcases white plaster work with brick diapers, and the eaves are overhanging with exposed purlins.
Access to the property was not possible during the re-survey conducted in November 1995.
