Description

Hem House is an 18th-century, two-storey and attic building made of red brick, featuring a front with three bays. The outer two bays have gabled roofs with kneelers. There are later additions, including a lean-to wing on the west side. The top storey has painted dummy windows at the gable ends, while the lower storey has near flush small-pane cross-frame windows. The central entrance is round-arched and includes a fanlight.

Although an inspection was not possible during the re-survey in 1995, it was noted that the house retains a good staircase and other original internal details.
