Description
New Holt Lodge Farm is a two-storey brick building dating from the early 19th century. The front elevation is three bays wide, with the central bay projecting slightly and topped with a pediment. The roof is covered with renewed slate. The facade features three full-height arched recesses and a centrally placed stone porch supported by two Tuscan columns. The door is flanked by side windows with margin lights. On the ground floor, there are two three-light windows, also with margin lights, and three similar windows on the first floor. A lunette window is located in the pediment.
At the rear, there are various additions and extensions, which include 20th-century windows. The left-hand return elevation shows clear evidence of early 19th-century refronting, marked by a straight joint that separates it from the earlier fabric. There are remains of a projecting chimney stack made of red sandstone. The interior was not accessible during the re-survey in March 1996.
