Description

Gate Lodge is a single-storey stone-built structure with a castellated design, linked to the gateway and attributed to John Buckler. It was built around 1819 and features a flat roof with two squat chimneys. The building is arranged in three bays from right to left. The central bay has a plain chamfered doorway topped with a later, simple shallow pediment and a modern door. There are 2 and 3-light leaded windows, each with six panes per light. The window in the left bay has a moulded, returned label. The lodge is topped with a crenellated parapet that has moulded coping, and it includes ashlar quoins.
