Description

The garden wall at Grovehurst is an L-shaped structure built of brown brick in a loose English Garden Wall bond. It stands approximately 2.5 meters high and is uncoped, although some of the upper courses have been replaced in places. The wall runs for about 25 meters, marking much of the garden boundary on the right side. At the southern end, there is an entrance featuring a modern boarded gate. A few meters to the right of this entrance, there is a rebuilt section of the wall, also around 2.5 meters high, which includes square projecting buttresses. At the northern end, the wall turns at a right angle to the east and steps down to a height of about 1 meter.
