Description
The carthouse at Plas Chambres is a long rectangular structure built from limestone rubble, featuring a medium-pitched slate roof. On the northeast side, which faces the yard, there are three depressed-arched openings with rough-dressed voussoirs. To the left, an external stone-stepped stair ascends from left to right, providing access to the first floor through a boarded door in a frame. The upper floor has two 2-light boarded windows, and there is a boarded loading bay beyond these windows. The gable end facing the road on the left has a large boarded opening, along with a plain window opening in the rendered upper gable. To the right, there is a plain rubble addition that is set back.
Next to the lane-facing gable on the left, there is a stretch of limestone rubble revetment wall that runs parallel to the inclined lane, partly defining and enclosing an orchard. The interior of the building was not inspected during the survey.
