Description
The obelisk in Bodelwyddan Castle Garden is made of limestone and stands about 5 meters tall, including an inscribed pedestal. It features a simply moulded plinth and cornice on the pedestal. The main inscription honors the 8th Lord Willoughby de Broke for his interest in the castle and estate, which led to significant improvements made by his widow, Lady Margaret. A floral carved band encircles the obelisk at mid-height, displaying family names.
