Description
Foelnant Telegraph Station is a rectangular, single-storey brick building that was formerly used as a telegraph station. It has two windows and was described as lime-washed when surveyed in 1963. An addition to the north features two bow windows. The building has a slate roof with graduated courses and stone copings up to half hips. The recessed sash windows, which have glazing bars, have been somewhat altered on the east side.
The central chimney stack has clustered octagonal flues, and the splayed fireplaces are said to include one made of stone with a three-centre arch to the lintel. The building was not inspected during the resurvey due to foot-and-mouth disease restrictions.
