Description
This building is a three-storey commercial property, likely dating to the 18th century. The front facade is of rusticated stucco with a slate roof that curves around the corner. The roof is punctuated by end wall and axial stacks. The front (Bodfor Street) has a three-window arrangement, while the side (Wellington Road) has two. The main entrance is through a recessed, curved corner, with a doorway flanked by three closely-spaced windows, all featuring segmentally arched heads. Originally, heavy brackets supported the fascia, although these are now concealed by a modern addition. The ground floor of the Bodfor Street elevation also has two further windows, originally sash windows. Above these are flat-arched windows with painted stone surrounds, housing twelve-pane sashes that flank a central, canted oriel, also with small-pane sashes. A similar arrangement of windows is found on the Wellington Road elevation, including a canted oriel to the right. The attic storey features nine-pane sash windows and one blind window on the Wellington Road elevation. Continuous sill bands link the windows on the upper two floors. The building is finished with a modillion eaves cornice.
