Description

Sir John Trevor House, including the North Wing, is a three-storey building featuring a two-window main range and an advanced two-storey wing on the left side. The wing showcases exposed timber-framing on the gable elevation, while the rest of the structure is roughcast. The entire building has a slate roof, with a brick stack on the wing, a rendered ribbed axial stack towards the left, and a stone and brick end-wall stack on the right side of the main range.

The ground floor of the wing has been converted into a garage, featuring double boarded doors. Above this, the jettied first floor displays decorative timber framing, including incised zig-zag patterns on the bressumer and chevrons flanking a central window. This window, likely added in the late 19th or early 20th century, includes a mullion and transom with leaded lights, and there are pierced quatrefoil panels beneath it. The jettied apex is adorned with a central chevron detail, and the generously overhanging eaves are decorated with barge-boards and a finial, likely contemporary with the window design. An earlier window, probably from the early 19th century, features small-paned iron glazing and is located alongside the brick stack in the inner return elevation.

The main range also has two windows, with a doorway to the left framed by a pedimented architrave and panelled reveals. The half-glazed door includes an overlight, while the ground and first floors have small-paned hornless sash windows in smooth rendered surrounds. The upper storey features modern two-light casement windows. The interior has not been seen.
