Description
The War Memorial at St Tecla’s Church is a cross located on the churchyard wall within a railed enclosure. It is made of teak and features reeded panels with a central inset cross. The memorial stands on a two-tier stone ashlar base with chamfered corners. An inset plaque on the upper tier commemorates the dead of the First World War, stating: "To the glory of God and in memory of the men of this parish who gave their lives in the Great War 1914-1919. John Bloor. Alexander Cammock. William Hughes Davies. Evan Edwards. John Parry. Eu henwau fydd byw byth." Below this, a surface-mounted plaque honors Glyn Price Jones and Frank Campbell Jones, who gave their lives in the Second World War, stating: "To the glory of God and in memory of Glyn Price Jones. Frank Campbell Jones. Who gave their lives in the Second World War 1939-1945." The memorial is enclosed by a low stone wall and iron railings at the rear, with additional iron railings at the front.
