Description
The bridge located to the east of Bont-uchel Chapel is a single-span road bridge built of rubble, measuring approximately 16 meters in length. It features a tall, round-headed arch made with rough-dressed voussoirs and projecting arch rings. A plain projecting string-course is present at the springing of the arch, which returns onto the soffit. The carriageway is flat and flanked by rubble parapets that are splayed at the approaches, ending on both the upstream and downstream sides with square piers topped with squared limestone copings. On the lower section of the downstream side, there is flat rubble buttressing on either side of the arch. Additionally, an associated section of wall adjoins the eastern parapet on the downstream side. This wall steps down and curves outward while inclining slightly upwards in a short continuation, terminating after about 8 meters where it connects to a modern wall in front of the Bridge Hotel.
