Description
Cae Coed is an L-shaped two-storey farmhouse with a single-storey wing attached to the north gable end of the main wing. It is constructed from local stone random rubble, featuring larger cut stone quoins. The roofs are gabled and covered with Welsh slate, with gable stacks made of squared stone rubble that have stone oversailing courses. The stack on the single-storey wing has been increased in height with brickwork.
The near-symmetrical front elevation faces east and includes three bays of 8/8 hornless sash windows with narrow glazing bars and slate sills. There is a central boarded door topped by a rectangular fanlight. The ground floor openings are fitted with slate lintels. On the north elevation of the rear wing, there is a 20th-century door; to the right, there is a 10/10 sash window on the ground floor and an 8/8 sash window on the first floor. The west elevation of the single-storey extension features a boarded door with a raised surround. The interior was not accessible for inspection at the time of the resurvey.
