Description
The barn at Belmont is a rectangular hay barn constructed from snecked rubble and topped with a modern zinc roof. It features a tall round-arched opening on the plain gable, which is adorned with dressed slate voussoirs and slightly recessed under a narrow arch ring, complete with a projecting keystone. The barn has four bays on the sides, which are partly open and separated by plain rubble dividing piers; however, the lower bay walls are modern. There is a rear entrance similar to the front, with boarded double doors covering the lower half. A later 19th-century two-bay addition has been made to the rear gable, which is stepped down. The right (east) side has a modern opening with a sliding door, while there is a blocked opening to the right. Inside, the barn has a plain interior featuring a modern roof and a concrete floor.
