Description
The retaining wall of Afon Gyffin, located east of Pont Pensarn, is a 19th-century structure made of rubble stone set on bedrock. It measures approximately 130 meters in length, stretching between Pont Pensarn and the Lifeboat station. At the western end, where it meets Pont Pensarn, there is a parapet consisting of dwarf walls and iron railings, flanked by two rock-faced piers topped with pyramidal caps. This section serves as part of the forecourt for the nearby bowling green.
