Description
Contessa is a three-storey building featuring rendered walls with raised banding and lugged architraves around the windows. It has horned sash windows and a slate roof. The north elevation includes two windows on each of the upper floors, with the second-floor windows positioned at the eaves. The building has a rounded corner, and the east elevation also has two windows on each of the upper floors, with the second-floor windows again set at the eaves; the left windows are narrower. The ground floor has a later 19th-century shopfront, with a door set back at the corner (featuring an overlight above) and two windows on each side. The ends of the fascia board are decorated with volutes and there are end pilasters. To the left of the east elevation, there is a four-panelled door with an overlight.
