Description
The Rothesay Hotel is a former house that has been converted into a hotel. It is a four-storey building, including a basement, with a two-window front. The exterior is rendered and features band courses and quoins. At the top, there is a crowning dentil cornice and a later dormer in the roof. The sash windows do not have glazing bars, and the top floor bays are slightly advanced, with windows set in shallow architraves. There are two three-storey splayed bay windows, and between these on the ground floor (basement) is the entrance to a café. To the left, there are steps leading up to a porch with a pedimented doorway, which has modern doors.
