Description
Belmont is a four-storey building featuring a parapet that displays the name of the hotel. The third floor has five plain sash windows without glazing bars. The central openings on the second, first, and ground floors are set back within tall square-headed arches that are shaped at the corners. Each bay on the second, first, and ground floors includes a three-light canted bay window with flat-headed sash windows, also without glazing bars. The centre bay on the second floor has a French casement with an architrave and a balcony in front of it. There are two French casements on the first floor, and the ground floor features a modern glazed veranda. A single-storey porch, dating from around 1919, has panelled pilasters, Doric columns in antis, and an entablature at ground level to the left of the main building. The forecourt wall is stuccoed and includes 19th-century iron railings.
