Description

The sundial and its base are located at the Church of St Nefydd and St Mary. The large stone base features chamfered corners and supports a sandstone cross shaft that is approximately 1 meter tall. This cross shaft is octagonal in shape and has stopped chamfers at the bottom. The top of the shaft is truncated and holds a fine brass sundial made by Thomas Heath of London. Inscribed around the sandstone rim is a dedication from the churchwardens, with the date 1666, although the lettering is indistinct.
