Description
The Fynhonnau Chapel and Manse is a rectangular building constructed from local rubble, featuring roughly-squared quoins and finely-tooled limestone dressings around the openings. The roof is slate with plain bargeboards and slate-hung sides. The symmetrical facade includes arched outer entrances and tall paired central windows, also arched. The entrances have 20th-century boarded doors with segmental fanlights, while the windows are 24-pane sash windows with segmental heads and projecting stone sills. In the center, between the windows, there is an inset sandstone dedication plaque that records the dates of the chapel's foundation and alteration. The rear (east) gable has three additional sash windows with segmental heads, consisting of 12-pane upper sections and 9-pane lower sections, which have modern secondary glazing on the exterior.
Adjoining the chapel on the right is the manse, which is a two-bay, two-storey structure built in the same style. It has an entrance on the left with a boarded door and segmental head, along with a three-part overlight. There is a modern window in a segmental opening on the right and another modern window on the first floor above.
The chapel is set behind slate-coped rubble forecourt walls that feature Art Nouveau-style decorative railings on the lower front walls. There is a central Art Nouveau gate and a cobbled pavement in the forecourt.
