Description
The Coach House to Bryn Mair is a U-shaped building dating from the 19th century, constructed of rubble masonry with a moderately pitched quarry slate roof, plain eaves, and exposed purlins. The left side features a two-storey coach house with a broad entry that has a timber lintel and a flagged floor. Above this entry is a boarded loft window, and there is a loft door on the gable end with a stone lintel. The coachman's rooms are located on the rear face of the house, which includes a small paned casement window on the gable end, two similar windows on the ground floor, and a doorway that is offset to the right. Inside, there is a small fireplace in the corner and a ladder stair.
To the right, there is an L-shaped stable range that has been altered in the center to provide garaging, although it originally had a central doorway flanked by windows. A cross window remains on the left side, which was formerly fitted with lead cames. On the right side, there are two loose boxes, two doors, and one window, all with stone lintels, and the outer corner is canted.
