Description

2 Rhos Goch is part of a row of six single-storey houses located in Cwm Penmachno, Bro Machno. The houses are built from local stone rubble and feature slate roofs with low rectangular stone chimneys. The eastern gable of the upper group of houses has stone water tabling. Each house has a square-headed doorway flanked by a window on either side, with doors and windows set under deep stone sills and hoodmoulds above. The original glazing was either fixed or sash small-pane windows, but most have been replaced. The top house in the row has been extended, aligning with a small square window and a smaller square chimney. Additionally, the houses have been extended to the rear with various outshots, generally featuring monopitch slate roofs and varied window designs.
