Description
4 Rhos Goch is part of a row of six single-storey houses located in Cwm Penmachno, Bro Machno. The houses are built from local stone rubble and feature slate roofs with low rectangular stone chimneys. The ground slopes down to the east, resulting in three of the houses being at a lower level.
Each house has a square-headed doorway flanked by a window on either side. The doors and windows are set under deep stone sills and have hoodmoulds above them. The original glazing was either fixed or sash small-pane windows, but most have been replaced. The top house in the row has been extended, featuring a small square window and a smaller square chimney. Additionally, the houses have been extended at the rear with various outshots, typically having monopitch slate roofs and differing styles of windows.
