Description
Llys Emrys, located at No. 10 Gwynant Street, is part of a group of cottages numbered 10 to 17. These cottages are constructed from roughly-squared stone blocks and feature a continuous slate roof with a tiled ridge and plain, shared chimneys. A masonry break between Nos. 11 and 12 indicates that they were built during different campaigns. Each cottage is a single window unit arranged in reflected pairs, with alternating paired inner doors and windows. All doors are from the 20th century, mostly modern.
On the ground floor, the window at No. 10 (Llys Emrys) is a projecting rectangular bay with a slated roof, while Nos. 15 and 16 have later 19th-century plain sash windows. All cottages except No. 10 have returned slate labels and slate lintels above their ground floor windows. For the upper windows, No. 16 retains its 19th-century 9-pane sash under the eaves, and Nos. 10 and 11 have late 19th-century plain sashes; the remaining upper windows are modern.
