Description
Arosfa, located at numbers 10 to 17 on Gwynant Street, consists of a row of cottages built from roughly-squared stone blocks. They feature a continuous slate roof with a tiled ridge and plain, shared chimneys. A masonry break between numbers 11 and 12 indicates that these cottages were built in different phases. Each cottage is a single window unit arranged in reflected pairs, with alternating paired inner doors and windows. All the doors are from the 20th century, mostly modern.
On the ground floor, number 10 (Llys Emrys) has a projecting rectangular bay window with a slated roof, while numbers 15 and 16 have later 19th-century plain sash windows. All cottages except number 10 have returned slate labels and slate lintels above their ground floor windows. For the upper windows, number 16 retains a 19th-century 9-pane sash under the eaves, and numbers 10 and 11 have late 19th-century plain sashes; the remaining upper windows are modern. This group of cottages is part of a total of eight in the area.
