Description

The White Barn is a single-story, six-bay building dating from the 18th century. It is constructed of roughly coursed mortared rubble masonry. The roof is slate, laid in a decorative pattern, with broadly advanced feathered eaves supported by monolithic stone piers. Rectangular stone stacks with a dripcourse and capping are also visible. The front elevation features glazed double doors to the left and two-light casement windows with shutters. The rear elevation mirrors this detailing. A modern, flat-roofed addition is present at the right (southwest) gable, and a timber-walled addition extends under the eaves to the rear. The interior was not inspected during the survey conducted in June/July 2003.
