Description

Clifton is a pair of three-storey, two-window houses located on New Street, Aberdyfi. The houses are rendered externally with a slate roof and brick chimneys. The second-floor windows are hornless sashes with nine panes each, set within shallow cement architraves; the lower sashes of the windows in No. 7 have had their glazing bars removed. The first-floor windows are hornless sashes with twelve panes each, also set within shallow cement architraves with the same glazing bar removal in No. 7. The ground floor has a centrally set-back doorway with panelled jambs, framed by a shallow cement architrave. Flanking the doorway are windows with twelve panes each, in shallow cement architraves featuring a keystone. These houses are considered as a group with Maclona, also on New Street.
