Description

The lychgate at the Church of St Mary and St Egryn is constructed with stone and slate side walls that are approximately 2 meters high. It features front and back trusses that support an old slate roof, which has slightly cusped bargeboards.

The front and back trusses include principal rafters that are cusped above knee-braced collars. There are ladder wall plates with ashlars rising from the inner plate. The structure also has chamfered purlins with cusped wind braces on each side. The underside of the roof is boarded.
