Description
Bryn Helyg is a late Georgian terrace of seven three-storey, two-bay houses with basements, situated at 20-26 Segontium Terrace. The frontages are rendered, while some houses retain original moulded architraves around the windows. The rear walls are constructed of exposed rubble stone. The roofs are slate and slope to the rear, with each house featuring a brick or roughcast chimney stack on the right-hand side. The doorways are located on the left-hand sides and are accessed by steps. Many of the houses still have original iron railings atop a low stone wall, although the basement step gates have been replaced. The railings are topped with trident finials and urn finials on the stanchions. One house has a roughcast front with replaced windows in original openings, a blind upper left-hand side, and an added open-gabled porch, complete with a replaced front door and overlight. The forecourt railings have been removed from this property. The houses belong to a group at 20-26 Segontium Terrace.
