Description

The Shelley memorial is located in the garden at Plas Tan-yr-allt and consists of a freestone pedestal topped with a garlanded urn, although the lid of the urn is missing. The pedestal features a weathered inscription, with only the name "Percy Bysshe Shelley" still legible. Additionally, there is an oval slate plaque that has become detached. This plaque reads, "Percy Bysshe Shelley stayed here 1812-13 and completed Queen Mab. 'All things are recreated'", which likely echoes the original inscription.
