Description

3 Eldon Terrace is a two-storey building with an attic and features a two-window stucco front, showcasing classical details similar to other contemporary terraces in Upper Bangor. The buildings numbered 1 to 4 are designed as reflected pairs. It has slate roofs with boarded eaves, and No 3 has a dentilled eave. The chimney stacks are made of brick and render. The building includes gabled slate-hung dormers and a mix of sash and casement windows, with Nos 3 and 4 featuring splayed bay windows.

Nos 1, 3, and 5 retain stucco wreath motifs above an advanced entablature with an egg and dart cornice, and end pilasters adorned with acanthus foliage. Most windows have moulded architraves and bracket cills, complemented by stucco lintel ornament. Each pair of buildings has an overall doorcase with Ionic pilasters, a cornice, and foliage-carved brackets, which are also present at No 5. The doorways are recessed, with half-glazed doors at Nos 1 and 2, and twin-arched panelled doors at Nos 3 to 5.

The rubble walls at the front support ornate cast iron railings featuring intersecting pointed arches, although those at No 5 have been removed. There is also stucco ornamentation above the door to the side passage.
