Description

Trefan is a building originally designed with a two-unit plan, featuring a central stair hall that was added in the 19th century. The structure is constructed from roughly coursed and shaped boulder rubble in large blocks, topped with a modern slate roof that has red tiled cresting and end wall stacks. The gable on the right is coped. The central entrance has a flat stone lintel above a part-glazed doorway, with four-pane sash windows on either side. To the left, there is a larger window with a heavy stone lintel that serves the principal room. Above, three small two-light casement windows are positioned below the eaves.
