Description

Pont Penmaen is a bridge constructed of rubble. It features one segmental arch with a set back ring of voussoirs and shallow ramped buttresses. The parapets have an irregular flat coping. On the northwest side, the parapet extends downstream to the gate into the field, and the listing continues a similar distance upstream. On the southeast side, the parapet extends upstream to the gate pier at the entrance to a public footpath, with the listing also continuing an equal distance downstream.
