Description
Plas Menai is a three-storey building with a three-bay stucco front, featuring quoins. To the left, there is a two-storey, two-window extension, which is depicted in an 1883 photograph and has a stringcourse. The building has a slate roof that is hipped at the left end, along with brick and cement rendered chimney stacks. The second floor has sash windows with marginal glazing bars, while below, there is a two-storey bay that is splayed to the right and has small pane casement glazing. Above the central half-glazed porch, which has a verandah with Gothic-inspired iron decoration supported by cast iron columns with foliage capitals, is a similar casement window. The extension features modern windows with a chamfered left corner, along with one sash window and a six-panel door facing Victoria Street.
The gable end of the main house is finished in pebbledash and has various sash, cross frame, and modern windows. There is also a three-window cross range that extends beyond the main structure, featuring small pane sash windows.
