Nos 1-3 Tai'r Ysgol (School Cottages) (consec)

Group of 3 attached single-storey cottages with upper floor to central projection (No.2). Picturesque Gothic style typical of the earlier estate buildings in the village. Uncoursed rubblestone with reddish brown brick window heads, dripmoulds and stacks; slate roof with hipped ends. 2:3:2 bays, centre forming equal-height gabled projection. Original 3-light timber mullioned and transomed windows to right bays (No.3), others replaced in C20 but all retaining C19 cambered heads; central boarded door to No.2 with 2-light window above; entrances to Nos.1 & 3 on returns through cambered doorways in set-back screen walls with porches behind; short ridge stacks with moulded capping and chimney pots to either side of central projection. No.1 has large box dormer to rear.
