Description
Heddfa is a terrace of 1½-storey cottages located at 9-25 Dublin Street, Tremadog. Built in the 18th century, they are constructed of roughly coursed and squared quarried stone, with boulder footings to Nos 9 and 11. The roofs are slate, and there are five stone stacks. Each cottage has a raked half dormer. No 9 is a 2-window house with a half-glazed door to the left. The windows are replacements, but are set within original openings. Nos 11-25 are single-fronted, arranged in reflected pairs, and mostly feature 20th-century replacement doors and windows, some of which have been enlarged, while others remain in original openings. No 11 features a small-pane horizontal-sliding sash window in its dormer. A blocked lower doorway is situated between Nos 13 and 15. No 25 has a 2-window addition to the right, topped with a skylight, and incorporates a single-storey addition named Yr Efail which features modern detailing.
The rear of the terrace has undergone extensive alterations and additions incorporating modern details. Specifically, No 9 has a 2-storey wing, Nos 11 and 13 feature outshuts, Nos 15 and 17 have 2-storey wings, Nos 19 and 21 have 2-storey, flat-roofed extensions, No 23 has an outshut, and No 25 has a 2-storey wing. The terrace forms a group with the buildings at 9-25 Dublin Street.
