Description

Ty Maen is a single-storey vernacular cottage built from whitened rubble, featuring an old slated roof with a tiled ridge. It has a squat square chimney stack that includes weathercoursing and raised flaunching. The entrance is off-centre to the right and has a boarded door, with the upper section containing small pane glazing. On either side of the entrance are late 19th-century 8-pane sliding sash windows in the main openings. To the far left, there is another similar window that was formerly an entrance. At the rear, there is a modern wing that includes a distinctive tall, round chimney stack with a louvred top. This building was not inspected at the time of the survey.
