1 Hoel y Llan (Church Street)

1 Hoel y Llan, located at 3-15 Church Street in Tremadog, is a 2-storey terrace consisting of four houses and a shop. The buildings are primarily constructed from large, roughly dressed blocks of quarried stone arranged in regular courses, topped with renewed slate roofs featuring projecting eaves and stone and roughcast stacks. The architectural details vary among the units.

No 1 Church Street is a 2-storey house made of the same large, roughly dressed stone, with a slate roof and a rebuilt, rendered stack on the right side. This house is connected to No 13-15 Market Square (the Spar Shop), with the right-hand end of the shop likely being part of No 1 Church Street originally, suggesting that it was once a symmetrical double-fronted house. Currently, No 1 Church Street has a single-fronted appearance with its entrance on the left side, featuring a recessed replacement door beneath an overlight. The lower storey includes a 9-pane horned sash window, while above it is a 6-pane sash window. The left-hand upper window is blind. A vertical joint between Nos 1 and 3, along with the slightly lower ridge line of No 3, indicates that these buildings were constructed at different times.
