Description
Mountain Lodge at Cefnamwlch is an entrance lodge built from rubble stone, featuring a single storey and a deep-eaved low-pitched slate roof. It has a stone stack at the northern end and an axial ridge stack. The building is designed in an L-shape with a southeast crosswing. The crosswing includes a small canted bay window, 1-3-1-light casements, and a slate roof made of single slabs. The main range has a door to the left in the angle, which is sheltered by a timber porch with a similar slate slab hipped roof. To the right, there is a 4-pane sash window. A small lean-to is located at the northern end with an eastern door. The southern side of the crosswing features two 4-pane sash windows, all with slab lintels and slate sills. There is a 20th-century addition on the western end.
