Description
Sarn Lodge is a single-storey, L-plan estate lodge built in the 19th century. It features paired gabled wings on the northwest and southwest sides, with the entrance located at the angle between them. The building is constructed of rubble masonry, accented with dressed gritstone quoins and bevelled coping along the plinth. The roofs are covered with hexagonal slates, and there is an axial ridge stack positioned to the east of the northwest wing. Additionally, there are three tall, diagonally set brick stacks with capping, resting on rectangular bases. The entrance is through a doorway located in the angle, which is sheltered by a timber canopy supported by paired, slender piers. The windows are slightly recessed and consist of 2 and 4-pane sashes with slate sills. The principal rooms are marked by canted bay windows in the northwest gables, while the window on the southwest side features a shallow segmental voussoir head.
