Description

Castell Aberlleiniog is an 11th-century motte that rises to a square platform measuring approximately 50 square meters. It features retaining walls made of rubble masonry, with three remaining round corner bastions. Each bastion includes three rectangular loops with splayed reveals. On the northwest side, there is a projecting garde-robe supported by rough corbels and a stone slab. The battlements on each side wall are reinforced by three buttresses, which are later additions but may replace earlier structures.
