Description

Porth Hir is a 1½-storey house featuring whitened pebble-dashed walls, a renewed steep slate roof, and pebble-dashed end stacks. The front has a central panelled door with glazed panels, and to the left, there is a second door with glazed panels above fielded panels at the base, which has '1605' painted above it. To the right of the center is a narrow casement window, and further right, beyond a wooden veranda, is a 2-light window with a top-hung casement. The wooden veranda includes a balcony, although the balustrade has been removed. It is supported by posts and a single pebble-dashed pier. The house also features three half dormers with hipped roofs and replacement windows.

To the left, there is a 2-storey wing that is set forward. This wing also has pebble-dashed walls and a renewed slate roof that is hipped to the rear, with a central pebble-dashed stack. The gable end of the wing has a doorway to the right, which includes a panelled door with glazed panels and is sheltered by a bracketed gabled canopy. To the left of this door are replacement 2-light windows with wooden shutters on each storey. The left side wall has a replacement 2-light window in each storey at the left end, with the upper storey window being larger. The rear side facing Bryn Lane is made of whitened rubble stone and features a boarded door and a small window to the left. In the upper storey, there is a 2-light small-pane casement above the door, along with a small replacement window to the left. The rear of the main range is also constructed of whitened rubble stone and includes a central stair window, small replacement windows to the right and left, and two skylights. The property has not been inspected.
