Description
Bodlasan Fawr is an L-plan agricultural range that includes a cartshed-granary and stable at the foot of the 'L', with a hammel-cowhouse range forming the stem. The building features rubble walls topped with a slate roof, ventilator ridge tiles, and tiled gable copings. The openings have cambered brick arch heads with a dripcourse. The hammel range includes two paired doors that open onto a stone-walled hammel yard. To the right, there is a long cowhouse with doors at both ends; the right unit leads into a feedroom at the angle. In the right-hand range, there is a stable with a central boarded split door and flanking windows. At the end of this range is a taller cartshed-granary, which has external stone stairs on the right gable end. The cartshed features a wide doorway and a boarded split tackroom door to the right. There are two windows in the granary, with slatted ventilation in the lower part and three small square panes above. Similar windows are found on the rear elevation, and a new window has been cut into the rear of the tackroom.
