Description
This is a two-storey cartshed-granary range at Plas y Glyn. It features four cart bays, a tackroom on the left, and a domestic office on the right. The building is constructed of coursed rubble, with the cart bays having cambered heads and recessed stone voussoirs beneath dripstones, while the other openings have flat stone lintels. The roof is made of slate, with long slate slab gable copings and kneelers.
The front of the building is arranged with the tackroom at the left end, followed by three cart bays. A stone staircase leads to the granary-servant's quarters, which separates the fourth cart bay from the window of the domestic office. There is a boarded door at the center of the right gable, with a small-paned window above it. On the first floor, there are five windows; to the left, a grouping of four windows lights the granary, and to the right, a single window lights the servant's quarters. The windows have an agricultural pattern with louvred lower panels and three-pane upper lights, although none are complete.
The stone staircase leads to two doors; the door on the right opens to a servant's loft, while the door on the left leads to the granary, which retains low boarded timber partitions for separating grain.
