Description

The former lighthouse-keepers cottages, built in 1908-1909, feature whitewashed rendered walls. The lighthouse includes a tapering round tower that stands 55 feet high, topped with a moulded cornice and an iron balcony rail surrounding a large lattice-glazed lantern. This lantern houses a significant Chance lens and operates automatically, all beneath a domed metal roof with a weathervane.

To the south, there is a single-storey group of buildings arranged in a T-plan. The southern end has five bays, corniced, with flat roofs, where the centre and end bays project and each features a mullion and transom window. A door is located on the side of the centre projection, while the east side has two windows and a central door. The buildings also have rendered corniced stacks.

The entire group is enclosed by a whitewashed rubble boundary wall, which includes pyramid-capped gatepiers.
