Description

The Almondell Aqueduct, dating from 1820, is a cast iron trough supported by a cantilevered structure. Stone abutments form part of the aqueduct's construction. The aqueduct, which is partly located within Mid Calder, carries a feeder channel for the Union Canal across the River Almond. The statutory address is Canal Feeder Aqueduct, River Almond.
