Description
These are a group of five terraced cottages, likely designed by Hippolyte J Blanc around 1880, situated within the Hopetoun Estate at Woodend, near Hopetoun House. They form a row, with each cottage having three bays. Each cottage features a central door and a distinctive porch with bracketed supports and decorative bargeboards. The windows are arranged in pairs. Chimneys are topped with cornices. The cottages are built of snecked rubble with polished dressings, and have slated roofs. Originally, this was a Free Church Manse. The statutory address is Woodend Hopetoun Estate Cottages (Nos 1-5).
