Description
The Old Toll House is a later 18th-century building of plain Georgian design. It is a single storey with attics. The structure is built of rubble, with a pedimented front that is inset. It has a slated roof. The house was built on the former Edinburgh to Glasgow turnpike, close to the site of an old tavern known as "The High House of Livingston," which was formerly kept by "The Bonny Lass of Livingston.” The statutory address is Old Toll-House, Long Livingston.
