Livingston Parish Church, Kirk Lane, Livingston Village

The Livingston Parish Church, dated 1732, is a plain, rectangular example of Georgian architecture. It is constructed of rubble and features a gabled, skew roof covered in slate. A distinctive "bird-cage" belfry, complete with louvres, is situated at the west end, while two chimney stacks are located at the east end. The windows are round-headed.

Inside, lofts are present at both ends; these originally included a fore-stair on the north side. The church is equipped with pews and a Gothic Revival pulpit, which was installed in 1837.

The building was originally part of the parish that included Whitburn until 1731. It stands within a burial ground containing interesting headstones and is part of a group of buildings designated as a B group with items 3-6.
